Today we are going to be talking about the difference between your own natural hair vs. clip in hair extensions and how we can prevent the latter to get dry and ugly.
The biggest thing that you’ll find over time with clip-in hair extensions is if you are not using the right care products, they are going to feel really dry and maybe even brutal and they are going to lose some of the movement and vitality that they had when you first got them. What happens, is they are not getting any of the natural oil from your scalp so what that means is that over time we need to kind of replenish that and give it back its own natural moisture balance.
I’ve been using EasiHair for several months now, and they are one of my favorite companies because they really do listen to what people need and want. Over time, people who use oil based products such as moroccan oil or spray shines, it ends up coding the hair and it doesn’t really nourish the hair from the inside-out. So this new living conditioner by EasiHair Pro was formulated for the girl who has hair extensions. What you are going to find with this product once you spray it in, is that it is going to help immediately detangle the hair, which is nice, so you are not pulling on the hair extensions unnecessarily. It’s also going to feel softer, it’s going to give that new hair extensions feeling which we all enjoy when we get those new extensions.
Remember, less is more with this product, so it really is concentrated.
Let’s talk now a little bit about how this product works. The first reaction you may have is like “I’m totally gonna ditch my moroccan oil or my oil based product”. EasiHair Pro also makes a cool thing called Heat-Treat-and-Shine. You don’t want to ditch these products. This product is almost like a lotion, and it smells very well too.
You want to be able to put this on the hair, from the mid-shaft down. Keep it away from your roots, you don’t want to have it anywhere near your extensions because it will totally compromise the integrity of that. What it basically means is that it can make them fall out, so keep it away from your roots. You want to put this on wet hair, and you don’t want to use too much, a little goes a long way.
The next thing you want to make sure of is that when you spray it in, that you properly brush through and allow it to absorb into the hair. Next thing we are going to do is begin to kind of blow dry the hair a little bit, and then this would be the time if you want to add a little bit of moroccan oil from mid-shaft down or a little bit of Heat-Treat and Shine into the hair, or a spray shine of your choic. This is going to seal the leave and conditioner that EasiHair Pro is made.
This product is not only for extensions, it is also great for long color treated hair.
